Petition: The Democratic Party Platform Must Reject Corporate Trade and the
Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)
Add Your Name to Demand that the Democratic National Convention Platform Include Unequivocal Opposition to the TPP

Corporate interests driving the TPP scored a major victory last week. Despite the ongoing bi-partisan trade revolt and all remaining presidential candidates of both major political parties opposing the agreement, TPP proponents were able to block an amendment in the Democratic Platform Committee explicitly opposing the corporate trade deal.

It’s not too late! The full Democratic Platform Committee will meet on July 8-9 in Orlando, Florida, to approve the final draft of the platform. Public Citizen and our allies are pushing the Committee to include strong opposition to the TPP as part of the platform.

Petition to the Democratic Platform committee

To: Democratic Party Platform Committee

Across the country, people of all political persuasions are rejecting failed corporate trade and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). The Democratic Platform Committee must stand with working families and communities and reject the TPP. I urge the Platform Committee to fight back against corporate interests, making clear the party's opposition to the TPP and urging Congress to not hold a vote on it in the lame-duck session.
